Frequently asked questions
Does Bulk upload my photos? +
No. Bulk never uploads your photos anywhere. It works entirely inside your browser, driving Google Photos' own editor. Nothing leaves Google.
Does it work on mobile? +
Not yet. Bulk is a Chrome extension for desktop, since it runs inside the Google Photos web editor. There's no mobile app today.
Is Bulk affiliated with Google? +
No. Bulk is an independent Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Google Photos is a trademark of Google LLC.
How fast does it run? +
Bulk opens each photo, applies your edit in Google's editor, waits for it to save, then moves on. Most actions take a few seconds per photo — you can walk away while a batch runs.
Can I edit a whole album? +
Today you select the photos you want (shift-click to grab a range), then click Bulk. One-click whole-album selection is on our roadmap.
What's the difference between Bulk and just editing in Google Photos? +
Google Photos only lets you edit one photo at a time. Bulk applies the same edit — enhance, filter, crop, rotate, or description — to every photo you've selected, automatically.
Does it work on shared albums? +
Bulk works on any photos you can open and edit in Google Photos, including ones in albums you own. Editing permissions follow Google's own rules.
What if a photo fails? +
If a photo can't be processed, Bulk skips it, doesn't charge a credit for it, and keeps going. You'll see a summary at the end, e.g. "12 enhanced, 1 skipped."
When do credits reset? +
Credits reset on the 1st of each month. One credit equals one photo with one action applied. Pro is unlimited.
What's the difference between Plus and Pro? +
Plus gives you 500 photos a month. Pro is unlimited and adds one-click Revert to Original plus priority support.
